Custom Software Development in Mississauga and Toronto
DevDec
DevDec is a Mississauga AI engineering and app development company founded in 2012 by Junal Rahman. Custom software at DevDec means a system a company runs its work on: inventory, distribution, a client record, a platform that replaced a failing one. The studio is in Mississauga and works across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. The studio is at 6 Come by Chance Mews, Mississauga, ON L5N 1J8, and can be reached at (647) 895-3832. This is not the mobile-app page and it is not a staff-augmentation offer.
How custom software is scoped
The process starts from the operation. Screens come after the path we are replacing is named. Burrito Boyz is the published example: legacy, fragmented logistics across Ontario restaurants, replaced with Easyprep and a distribution hub.
Map the operation
Who touches the work, what they decide, and which system they abandon when it is wrong. A workshop that only produces a sitemap has not started the project.
Replace one legacy path
We pick the path that is costing the week. For Burrito Boyz that was multi-location inventory and the legacy distribution system. Other paths stay put until this one is in use.
Design for the next site, not a one-off
Roles, an audit of changes, and the data the second location will need are part of the first build. They are cheaper there than as a rewrite after the third site opens.
Hand it to someone who was not in the project
Notes cover how to run it, what was migrated, and what was deliberately left on the old system. A Toronto or Mississauga team should be able to operate the software without calling us for every Tuesday exception.
What custom software covers
Web platforms and internal systems. Mobile apps are included when the person doing the work is not at a desk. AI is included when a step is repetitive enough to justify it.
Internal platforms
Tools for inventory, prep, staffing, clinical review, or a client practice. QRP+ and MetaClinician are published examples of operational products, one for pharmacy shifts across Canada and one for clinicians comparing decisions.
Legacy replacement
A system that fails in production and cannot be patched into a modern product. TRL Audiobooks was rebuilt as web, iOS, Android, and API integrations over 8 to 10 months. We will say when a rescue is enough and a replacement is not.
Software for more than one location
The Burrito Boyz suite covers front-of-house prep, back-of-house inventory, and a distribution hub for restaurants across Ontario. The same shape applies to other GTA operators. We do not pretend their rules match.
A line around AI
Custom LLM integration, OCR, and predictive models show up in the portfolio where they belong to the job. They are not the default architecture of an internal tool.
Published custom software
These are systems a business runs, not consumer apps from the mobile pages.
Burrito Boyz Ecosystem
Easyprep for inventory and prep, plus a distribution hub that replaced legacy logistics, deployed across Ontario locations. Launched 1 May 2026.
TRL Audiobooks
A failing legacy audiobook platform rebuilt as a modern web and mobile system with API integrations.
QRP+
Post a shift, hire relief pharmacists and technicians across Canada, with search, bidding, and direct deposit.
MetaClinician
A platform for clinicians across specialties to share decisions and compare practice.
Questions about custom software
Are you a software development company in Toronto?
The office is in Mississauga, at 6 Come by Chance Mews. Toronto and the rest of the GTA are where much of the custom software work is. We do not keep a separate Toronto office, and we do not describe the Mississauga studio as one.
What do you mean by custom software development in Mississauga?
Software designed for one operation: the data, the roles, and the path that replaces a spreadsheet or a legacy system. It is quoted as a project. It is not a monthly bench of developers.
Can the same team build the mobile app?
Yes, when the person using it is on a phone. That work uses the mobile practice. If the product is a startup's first release rather than an internal system, the MVP page is the better fit.
How do we start?
Send the current process, even if it is a spreadsheet, through the quote form, to contact@devdec.com, or on a call to (647) 895-3832. The useful attachment is the report your team already runs the week with.
